I was wondering if there is a free script of sorts that is like similar to the one used on this website: Surprise.com (sign in at the top right to see the script on action). I doubt it but do have to get this script/database developed and am looking for a programmer if it is not already developed as open source.
1. Loggin and password protected including forms to be filled:
a) First, Last Name b) Email Address c) Password d) checkbox for weekly gift updates.
2. Display Box for last gift added to Que. ***Once signed on the box would display the last gift that they had added to their sign-in name.
3. Add gift button on all products and the gift would be saved under their sign on name once logged in.
a)The customer would have a notes section to add any specifics they might want to ad at the time.
b) Customer can also sort their gifts from 1-25 or more according to their importance.
4.Internal Search Engine for inventory.
5. Occasion Reminders:- Customer can select a date that they would need to be reminded of gift and automatically be sent an email reminder to their email address. They can select a one day reminder, one week, or two week reminder.
6. Database that would store all products and description with prices and a "similar products" link to show products that are similar to the ones chosen.
If there is any open source database programs or scripts that may be able to help with with at least most of these features, I would be greatful to know where? If not, I will be looking to hire a programmer to do such work. Any response is appreciated.
