I am not sure if this is the right forum, or if there is even a forum on the site where this would be appropriate. I figure programmers would know best so I posted here.

Is there currently a way using Yahoo or Google to search for a phrase in the following fashion:

Let's say for example you are searching for "Kookamonga Riley". However you only knew the first word and the first letter of the second word. So all you had to go on was "Kookamonga R".

I know google supports using an asterik as a wildcard to replace an entire word, however what about the example I gave above. Searching "Kookamonga R*" does not work.

It is a little confusing and I had the wrong idea too.

    From [link]

Currently, Google doesn't support searches in which an asterisk indicates a fraction or extension of a word: [ flower* classes ] will not match "flowerful classes."

    .....................

For example, a search for [ cooking * classes ] will match the phrases "cooking school classes" and "cooking and wine tasting classes."
