I just bought up some more keywords and have set my CPC high enough to reach into the top 3 positions, thus making my ads show on Virgilio (most popular search engine in italy) via Adsense.
However, after 24 hours my ads have still not appeared on virgilio..
Can people give me a time estimate on how long this transfer usually takes? As I'm off on holiday at the weekend and am desperate to have the ads displayed/optimised/financially balanced well before I leave them alone for three weeks!
thanks.

Good to hear things are up and running for you. Was the site not in Google's index before? If not, that would account for the delay. For others reading this thread here is the possible info from Google's FAQ on AdSense:
---------------------------------------------------
5. How quickly will Google AdWords ads start appearing on my site?
After being accepted to the program and successfully pasting the AdSense HTML ad code into your web pages, ads will start running on your site within minutes.
If your site is not yet in our index, it may take up to few hours or more before we are able to crawl your site. Until we are able to crawl your site, we may serve public service ads, for which you won't receive any earnings.
