    Hello again,

Does anyone have a view if it is necessary to be listed in the Yahoo directory before Google will accept a site for AdSense? It may seem like a stupid question but I just wonder...

    Thanks

You don't have to be listed in the Yahoo! Directory or even be listed in Google before Google will accept a site for AdSense. It even can be a brand new site--as long as the content of the site meets the AdSense guidelines, Google should accept it.

    Thanks bhartzer,

You've hit the nail on the head. I had a new site in mind but in another discussion someone suggested to me that Google might take the view that if one was not willing to pay to be listed in Yahoo then the site might not be considered worthy. Implausible perhaps but I just thought that I'd ask.

    Thanks again
