I added the new Google sitesearch box to my site. Although I earn another $1 a day or so, I just noticed that it includes the following code:

<A HREF='http://www.google.com/'>
<IMG SRC='http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_25wht.gif'
border='0' ALT='Google'></A>

I am trying to limit my links out to my own sites. So having this link out to Google will be a pagerank leak (I assume), and lower my overall rankings.

So I think I can earn more money, by taking off the sitesearch, and just sticking to adsense.

I have seen many top ranking websites linking out to various search engines on purpose for ex. listareus smile

I'm by no means "up" on the current SEO methods, but if Google were smart, they certainly wouldn't penalize people for linking to *them*.
