Hi,
Has anyone used Marketbanker which apparently allows you to set up and sell text based ads on your own site and if so, do you think there is any conflict with Adsense?

There should be no conflict, as Marketbanker (now called Adbrite) is a sell-your-own text ads system, not a contextual text ad service, which Adsense prohibits you from running simultaneously.
