I thought I'd finally found the perfect pale background colors for some of my page elements, but I recently moved to a new monitor which renders these colors as virtually invisible. I'm trying to figure out if this is a monitor problem or a color problem.

To view the pages in question, go to the URL in my profile and then choose a page from one of the topic areas in the directory. The section with "On This Page", "In This Category", etc should have a pale tan background. The subsection headers on the page, such as "General/Mixed/Misc", should have a pale rose colored background.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Check in photoshop if the colors are withing the web safe palette and you should be fine regardless of monitor.

You cannot get colour perfection on the web. There are too many people with the brightness wound right up and the contrast not set right. Try a range of screens to see that it is OK, but don't worry about trying to cater the same for everybody.
