I have been reading all of the posts and you all are way beyond me.
For 3 years I have been wanting a web site for my products and my son even bought me dream weaver which when I loaded didnt help a lick. (I just started the tutorial lately).
I once saw a web site I liked and it is no longer online.
It reminded me of the solar system with the large center (Was at the bottom left actually) which was the home page and then there were lines radiating from that to smaller ovals to go to the various pages for my different products.
It was a very simple design and I liked it because it was easy to read and not get lost on.
Unfortunately I have been unable to find another on any other sites.
On one or two of these sub categories, I will also be embedding mpg files so my customers can see my animated items at work (I have that part covered).
I guess I need someone (or more) To tell me what steps I need to do to get this thing first of all made and then up and running without me taking another 3 years to do it.
I have been a power seller on eBay for about 8 years and it is time to move on.
Any links for sites that would guide me from a to z would really be appreciated.
Thank you and bless you in advance,
Shary

Hi shary1635 welcome to SEF
I think you can solve the problem yourself. If you have Dreamweaver and the tutorial you could learn a lot from doing that. The page you describe would not be hard to re-create.
You could also benefit from this [link]
Be prepared to do a lot of reading Good luck!

Dreamweaver is a very good start--one of the best WYSIWYG editors. However as philh said, you have lots of reading to do.
I see the video professor commercial on TV and they offer to let you try their CD. Perhaps you can get their HTML CD. I have no experience with their CDs, but you might want to look into them.
You really need to learn basic HTML and also how to work with images (slicing, compressing, picking the right format and when to use GIF or JPEG). Also you will want to learn how to use FTP applications along with setting file permissions on the server.

many many many moons ago I decided to learn web design - I went to angelfire.com and they had an HTML section there - I printed out like 40 pages of HTML code and sat down at the PC - with 1 hand I held all my papers and with the other I typed lol ( to this day I type mostly 1 handed lol )
Now they make books like HTML for dummies and all kinds of goodies to help you along......
BUT the best advice is what you have been given here - read read read - and keep asking questions here ,I call this site my web site design bible
It is invaluable ! and the only "cost" is your time and willingness to help others as you can.
I wish you the best and hope I see more of you around here.
