    Hi to all,

I have been doing some seo activities for my site for about two months. For certain keywords like "luxury yachts charters newport beach", I am getting a directory link or an article link on the first page of google search results. Why am I not getting my site instead? can somebody pease help?

cause your site still isnt optimised well, even the homepage. You've tried to concentrate on too many phrases at once, diluting the prominence for any of them. You have also only done about 10% of what you need to.

What work have you done on it over the last two months?

what you've done is essentially offsite SEO, ie link building. You've done nothing with the actual site itself to enhance your prominence to the search engines for your key phrases.

Basically, you site is lacking good structured coding and common sense in regards to targeting specific keywords. Thats all the advice i can give.. its too much to go into in one post but if you search the forum and read up on good HTML you wont go far wrong. Work on your site now, check for W3C formatting, and get the technical bits up to scratch. Work on a per page basis and try to stick to one or two key phrases per page.
