Helps with Alltheweb and Lycos. Though you will also find you get some incoming links with your title as the anchor text.

Plus you can check what search terms people are clicking through to your site with, which is handy.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it to "pay for inclusion" for anything. I've never paid for inclusion and have never recommended it to any of my clients.

A similar question: Does anyone have an opinion on the $400+$200 it costs to have guaranteed inclusion in Excite's Directory+Partners? Anyone seen good results from this, or bad?
