Has anyone ever done any business with CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center)?
We have gotten a number of letters/faxes from them indicating we should register (for a fee) our company's brand name through them in order to protect it from being occupied by any other companies. The documents we have received indicate that the China Ministry of Information Industry has dictated some kind of policy making CNNIC the orgainization authorized to do this kind of thing.
So my question is, has anyone heard of CNNIC? Registered their keyword(s) or brand name with them, or even know anything about them?
Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks!
