Just recieved this email from a lovely man called Jeremey. Anyone else had this? I've seen a few posts on other site about them. Seems the most ridiculous offer! How do they expect to trick anyone into signing up?!

I think the catch might be that they don't say 'the first result for a given search criteria'. Anyone with enough money can put in the best bid for top position on adwords, Overture, etc. Thes top listings in these are technically at the top of the major search engine pages.

just my idea.

I bet alot of people fall for this.

Does the "ex:" mean "example" or "excluding"?

Could be either.

It's just so ridiculous. Honest people (much like the vast majority of the people on these forumss) are always giving advice on how to spot good/bad and dodgy/legit seo companies. We always say:

If they promise the earth, you won't get it!

If they say they can get you to no.1 on every engine, they won't!

If they say it isn't highly overpriced PPC disguised as magical seo, it is!

If there website is shocking and can't be found in seacrh engines then that can't be good....

...So why do dodgy/scamming seo's (i use the term seo in it's loosest possible meaning) still use the same old rubbish sales patter. I fear the day when they wise up to what they're doing wrong and start pretending to offer modest services and then scamming people who take our advice!
