    the older a domain name is, the more authority Google gives it because it has been around and should therefore have aquired some sort of presence. It would help having a keyword in your domain name too. Tagerting your domain to your target country would help too (this may be an agruable point) such .ie for Ireland, .uk for the UK.

    one of my domains is 12 years old, i can spit on it and it will rank well

    age is a huge factor

    If you decide to target the domain to which ever country is most relevant, does it matter if the sever where the site is hosted is in that country as well? I have been told if you have a site that is targeted for china for instance, it is best to have the site hosted on a sever located in china as well. Is this true?

    In general, host in the target country or use the TLD of the target country (or both) for best results.


    China is a special case, because of "The Great FireWall of China".
